Trekking Sinhagad on a Rainy Sunday

It was a lazy weekend with raining outside, I was sleeping dismayed due to failure of our Purander trek plan as no one was getting time to go. Suddenly babs came and invited me for trekking Sinhagad. I immediately agreed as I was not going to sleep or waste time rest of the day doing TP on laptop. So we started in morning 8.30 AM from our flat.
We reached base at around 10PM and it took us to reach top around 1 and half hour as we were enjoying the way and going slow gossiping. After reaching to the fort we traveled each spot also had lunch as famous Zunka bhakar and kanda bhaji of Sinhagad. We started descend around 3PM and reached back to our bikes around 4PM.
Posting below few pics from the trek.
Thats me during the Trek..
There are tracks built up on fort for walking to various spots. Villagers have built these as there are many tourist visiting fort daily. These are really neat and clean as well as beautiful.
Thats Niraj urf Babs.. I found this lonely tree which was coming in perfect view in foreground of the landscape mountains.
These are school kids came for picnic on Sinhagad. All were cheering enjoying and having a blast.

We found this cute little puppy on the way. He was left alone by his mother, being wet due to rain he was shivering and when saw us he started following us in search of warmth and security.

So that was all from my small visit to Sinhagad. You guys please do visit the fort atleast once in rainy season. You will surely enjoy the beauty of nature.

Phalke Smarak - Nasik

The Dada Saheb Phalke is the legendary figure who was the progressive spirit behind the century old Indian Cinema. A memorial to this great visionary, Dadasaheb Phalke Smarak is committed towards edifying, devout and rational development. The building contains a place for meditation, a main conference hall and an exhibition center. The Samarak also displays with an eloquent version of the works of the Dadasaheb Phalke.

Posting below few of the pics I took at Phalke Smarak.

A Visit to Someshwar

Someshwar is one of the oldest temple of Lord Shiva. The temple is surrounded by all around greenery, which provides an idyllic ambience to the serene environment of this pretty shrine. "Someshwar, the place, where the temple is placed tourists is a beautiful nature spot with a pleasant climate.

Following are few snaps I took around the temple and river:

Water Droplet Photography Attempt 1

Water is beautiful, and if you can see the drops jumping.. splashing.. dancing on the surface its amazing feeling!
One out of many things I wanted to try with my DSLR is Water drop photography.
I was too eager to do it that I tried to do it as soon as I bought SLR, so dont expect great quality pics as I had not even learnt ABC of it and taken all those in Auto mode.. :-P

I have just made deviations with Flash and manual focus, also the following photo's are cropped. Click on it to see full image.

A Water mountain building after eating the drop into it.

A spherical drop just touching the surface.

The Crown appeared due to splash of water after drops impact.

Another Crown this time added a blue color in it for extra effect.

A blue drop going towards water.

The color contrast was perfect, but all I missed was a proper focus, also shutter speed was slow. :(
Still checkout the patterns on tower made by the surrounding light.

This was a perfect catch, but it wasnt straight impact, still it feels good to me. :)

I will be trying more scenes later with an extension tube or with some proper lighting. I want to get some beautiful shots of these water drops!

First few clicks at Home

A Lonely Rose blossoming on the tree when even all leaves are turning dry.

When there is a will there is a way. Surrounded by concrete desert this Rose is catching sunlight of the noon.

The hands which prayed to lord for me, which fed me, which adored me and even beat me for mistakes I did. love you dad! :)

A single leaf pointing towards sky, captured by taking sky in the background and focusing mainly on the edges.

My Gear

There was a long wait I had to wait for getting my first SLR. Many constraints like money, time, resources. But finally I bought my cam. It is Canon 1000D :)
Photography was already my interest but I wanted to make it a serious hobby. I have gone through lot of photography books and websites and got at-least some idea of how to use an SLR!
I will be sharing the pics I clicked with this cam, please dont expect a lot as I am still learning..... ;)
